How Lowes Is Helping Change Kids’ Lives One Pair at a Time

There’s more to your jeans than meets the eye.

Since 1998, Lowes has proudly stood behind the Jeans for Genes initiative, raising vital funds and awareness for the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI). It’s a cause that hits close to home—because 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease like cancer or cystic fibrosis. And while most children are running around playgrounds, these brave little ones are facing transplants, chemotherapy, and daily meds. In the past 26 years, Lowes has donated over $1.1 million to help change that. This ongoing support has powered world-class research with one clear goal: to find cures and give these kids the childhood they deserve.

Every pair of jeans counts.
This year, Lowes is stepping up even more—donating $10 from every pair of jeans sold to the Jeans for Genes foundation. That’s on top of selling limited-edition merch where 100% of proceeds go straight to CMRI. Whether you're picking up a new pair of jeans or just grabbing a tee, you're helping fund life-changing research—just by shopping.

Together, we can help kids be kids again.
With the support of customers like you, Lowes continues to make a real difference. Every dollar raised goes directly to genetic research that could change lives. So next time you’re shopping for jeans, know that you’re not just buying denim—you’re backing a mission that’s stitched with hope!

Shop. Support. Spread the word.
Pop into Lowes - Burwood Plaza to support Jeans for Genes Day. Because every child deserves a chance at a healthy future—and sometimes, it all starts with a pair of jeans.
